OPT’s Italian Deployment Extended in Current Location
In March 2020, following more than one year of continuous maintenance-free operation as part of an underwater autonomous vehicle charging pilot project off the coast of Italy in the Adriatic Sea, OPT’s PB3 PowerBuoy® lease was amended to provide for another 18 months of deployment through November 2021.
The PB3 PowerBuoy® remain at its current location. The PB3 PowerBuoy® is designed for three years of operation between routine maintenance intervals, which allows the leased asset to remain in place through November 2021.
